Abstract

There is considerable evidence that the United states of america Foreign Service officer corps does not constitute a cross section of the American population; in fact, it does not constitute a cross section of white, male person, college-educated Americans. Information technology is alleged that the aristocracy composition of the Service affects the American foreign affairs process. Actually, there is no statistically pregnant relationship between several personal background characteristics of Foreign Service officers and FSO career satisfaction, international-mindedness, or psychological flexibility. It appears unlikely that Foreign Service elitism has whatever impact upon the conduct of U. Due south. foreign affairs.
